Capture the magic of the holiday season on a fully narrated tour through the spectacular light displays of the Winter Festival of Lights. Featuring over 120 animated light displays and 3 million tree and ground lights, including the new Religions of the World displays.

On your bus tour, you will also visit / partake in the following attractions:

Queen Victoria Park - Tunnel of Wish Lanterns

This year the Festival of Lights features ornate, hand-painted lantern displays and a stunning Tunnel of Wish Lanterns created by the award-winning Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival of South Korea. The lantern displays showcase Korean cultural icons including a pagoda, incense burner, a traditional Korean drum, dragons, jade lions, and a Pensive Bodhisattva along with a Western favourite – Santa and his reindeer!

You will also see:

  • Displays that offer a snapshot of Life in Niagara, the award-winning Niagara grape and wine industry, historic 1812 battles and a variety of winter activities such as skating, skiing and ice hockey.
  • The Religions of the World displays which feature a cluster of illuminations that pay homage to Christian, Judaic and Islamic religious traditions

Dufferin Islands - Forest of Light

In Dufferin Islands, also known as The Great Canadian Outdoors, visitors are awed by displays of Canadian wildlife – both modern and prehistoric – that include moose and buffalo, howling wolves, charging rams, bears, beavers, whales, deer, and dinosaurs that roamed the land millions of years ago. These are complemented by close to 200,000 LED tree lights that create a mystical aura of illumination. An absolutely wonderful visual experience, it also includes displays of aboriginal life as well as the popular Noah’s Ark display. Have you noticed the animals walking off the Ark are indigenous to Canada?

There is no admission fee to view the illuminations but donations are gratefully accepted by Festival Ambassadors at the exit of Dufferin Islands (suggested contribution $5 - $10 per car), with proceeds used to enhance the Festival’s lights and displays. Tour groups are encouraged to donate $1/person on the bus.
